November 30, 1984. In the eighties, Hasbro pushed the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline to the point that it became, at least for a few years, a lifestyle brand. Shirts, sleeping bags, walkie-talkies, and yes, even sunglasses, all hit retail with G.I. Joe branding. Back in the eighties, G.I. Joe fans had no shortage of options when it came time to trade cash for collectibles.
