3-in-1 Robot and Giant Robot Daitarn-3 Newspaper Advertisement

Yesterday’s 1984 GoBots newspaper ad, if you followed through to view the entire page, also included these two ad blocks for other robot toys of the time. I’m unfamiliar with the Daitarn-3 robot (see collectiondx.com), but that 3-In-1 Robot entry makes think of the 1985 Trans-Bots comic advertisement we saw a few years ago. More unlicensed Transformers bootlegs, or were these toys imports and authorized uses of the designs?
