December 8, 1983. Here’s something you just don’t see these days: TSR’s Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game (find at Amazon.com*) on sale at Walgreens! Late 1983 would have been around the time retailers started reporting a decline in the game’s sales and hotness, making it unsurprising that this is the time when a mainstream chain like Walgreens would be offering D&D for sale. Still, who wouldn’t love to walk into a Walgreens today and find D&D on the shelf?
