G.I. Joe “Search for the Stolen Idol” on Sale in 1974

December 15, 1974. Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Adventure Team (find at Amazon.com*) appears in this 1974 newspaper advertisement out of The Cincinatti Enquirer . . . which is fast becoming one of my favorite newspaper archives to uncover toy ads. The Adventure Team hit the scene when I was too young to enjoy and appreciate the toys, but looking back at the designs today leaves me with nothing but respect for Hasbro’s designers. Way to transform war toys in adventure toys!
