20% Visionaries Action Figures in 1987
The Transformers ad we saw a few days ago also included this block for Hasbro’s Visionaries action figures, giving us another data point as we zero in on the average price of the toys at launch in 1987. That $5 price point is looking like the overall winner, leaving me wondering just how much price had to do with the failure of the Visionaries line. Next to Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figures, the Visionaries toys are starting to look a tad expensive.
