Yesterday’s Army Gear advertisement clearly wasn’t enough to satisfy us, so today we turn to this ToysRUs ad block from December 9, 1988, and the Detroit Free Press newspaper. The Canteen that turns into an aircraft carrier looks like a fantastic concept, but is it a cool enough idea to send me to eBay? That’s always the question when running across the obscure toylines of the eighties, isn’t it?
