Starriors Wastors at Montgomery Ward in 1984

Yesterday’s Starriors advertisement comes from the end of Tomy’s Starriors run at retail, with the toys shown at 50% off. Today, however, we step back a few years to this October 21, 1984, Montgomery Ward newspaper ad where the Starriors Wastors are listed at $3.99/each. On sale, yes, but not on the clearance that we saw in yesterday’s advertisement. This Tampa Tribune ad was most likely originally in color, once again making me sad that online newspaper archives are only in B&W. 🙁
