Tomy Tribots at Payless in 1985
December 6, 1985. The Auburn, California, Auburn Journal newspaper brings us this ad block for Tomy’s Tribots cheap transforming robot toys . . . and instantly sends me off to eBay in search of the toys! I’ve no idea if these toys are fun or not, but that illustration — as well as the pics I’ve now seen online of the toys — looks cool enough that I want to get my hands on at least one of them.
