Transformers Pretenders at KayBee Toys in 1988
November 10, 1988. The Pretender Monsters ad we saw a few days ago is far from the only time that Hasbro’s Transformers Pretenders toys found their way into a KayBee Toys sale flyer. The below block, uncovered in a Carbondale, Illinois, Southern Illinoisan newspaper, gives me hope that a time machine will be built this week; after all, how else am I supposed to get MIB Pretenders for less than $10/each?
