Transformers Battlecharger Runamuk on Sale in 1987

November 26, 1987. Out of the Longview News Journal of Longview, Texas, comes this ad block that makes a great companion to yesterday’s two different Transformers Battlechargers posts (here and here). $3 for a Battlecharger? Wow. I went looking for a packaged one yesterday . . . and ran screaming in terror at the $1,000 price tag. Ouch!

The ad may be for Battlechargers, but that art is definitely a Protectobot and not a Battlecharger.
