May 26, 1986. Yesterday’s 1986 Mervyn’s ad for the Battlechargers also mentioned the Insecticons, and a bit of digging in the newspaper archives soon led me to this Mervyn’s ad from the Arizona Republic where we again find Insecticons, Battlechargers, Constructicons, and the “Special Team” mini-vehicles . . . and all accompanied by this fun illustration of Bombshell!
