“Dinosaurs that transform to robots” in 1985
December 18, 1985. This ad from Little People’s Palace found in the Asbury Park Press newspaper includes one of my favorite things about old newspaper ads: Original artwork that is so unlike the actual toy to leave us all questioning what happened! It’s a good thing that the ad identifies these as Transformers Dinobots, because the text is about the only way I would have ever been sure of what they’re trying to sell.
