Minimate Dioramas Up for Pre-Order at Luke’s Toy Store

The new Minimate Dioramas (mentioned here) are now up for pre-orders at Luke’s Toy Store. I’ve pre-ordered the Broken Wall and Window Diorama Set and I’m excited to get a close look at these pieces.

Together this expanded display features five foot pegs (one on the wall!) that are compatible with many mini-figure lines, and blend in with the environment when not used. This item comes with two alternate stickers for the window, to expand your display possibilities.”

“These dioramas were hand sculpted, and each one is hand cast in high quality resin. Due to this handmade nature, these items will have small flaws that would not be present on a factory-produced item, such as bubbles, divots, discolorations, and rough edges. If these imperfections bother you, just call it battle damage. These dioramas come in two pieces, and you will need superglue to attach them together.”

Good luck to Luke’s Toy Store with this new experiment. $8 is actually a low price for hand-crafted resin display pieces; I suspect the price will have to increase after the first run because the amount of work going into these has to be more than $8 worth of time and materials.
