A G.I. Joe Restock at Wal-Mart
Last week I posted about the sad selection of G.I. Joe toys at Wal-Marts here in Austin. Well, one of the stores has had a small restock and we again have vehicles, as well as a wave of figures I hadn’t seen yet. That Cobra Shock Trooper is kinda tempting; I bet this guy would look great as a group with some Alley Vipers.
I’m hoping to see a restock at my regular Walmart, too and – hopefully – the new wave arriving soon as well.
As for the Shock Trooper – grab them while you can. Army Builder-type collectors go ape for them, as they have a tonne of gear and display/dress options. If you want to see more, I Reviewed the figure a few weeks ago:

Great pics, I actually need that CORPS three man recon team in the picture lol
I’ve been tempted a few times to buy some Corps stuff but I feel as if I’m betraying the Joes!
I finally got my hands on a new era GI Joe and was quite impressed. I’m usually down on all these “new” toys that rehash my childhood, but I was happy to find my Zartan came with some good solid fun.

The Wal-Mart here makes me cry every time I go. Half the toy aisle is usually bare shelves and it’s basically just the same 5 Iron Man toys with a few Star Wars and Transformers pegwarmers. They actually had more GI JOE at the grocery store down the road, and they only had a half dozen.
Some of the guys at the recent JoeCon said Hasbro is aware of the fact that GI Joe isn’t well-represented in a lot of stores and they’re ”working to change that.”
