A Lovecraft Retrospective Almost Gone at Centipede Press
Recent e-mail from Centipede Press announces that they’re down to six copies of A Lovecraft Retrospective, the 400-page artbook that was my first encounter with this publisher of gorgeous, beautifully-bound books (first mentioned here).
The book’s $450 over at the Centipede Press website, but out of curiosity I took a look at Amazon where I found it listed starting at $390.* I suspect those prices will go up as soon as word circulates that the publisher is out of stock, so if you want a copy of the book I suggest grabbing it now before prices skyrocket.
This 400-page art book features loads of color and black & white artwork that has directly or indirectly illustrated the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. The work has been culled from the last eighty years, including works from the pulps such as Weird Tales, paperback covers from the 1960s and 1970s, fanzines, movies, sculptures, private commissions, etc.
