A Second Chance at Harlan Ellison’s “Deathbird Stories†from Subterranean Press
When I noticed the limited edition of Deathbird Stories last year (posted here) I had intended to go back and grab it, but life distracted me and the next thing I knew I had missed out. Well, I’m happy to report that Subterranean Press has added more to their site . . . and this time I grabbed one! No hesitating. No thinking. Just BAM! and ordered.
I had no choice this time around since I’ve been reading through Gentleman Junkie and The Deadly Streets and am again overtaken by Ellison’s skill. Even though the stories in the two books were first published over fifty years ago they’re still raw, powerful, and highly engaging. Ellison should really get far more praise than he does . . .
