Ad for Hero Illustrated from 1993
Hero Illustrated (Amazon.com search*) was one of those magazines of the nineties that capitalized on the comic boom. I owned a few of the magazines way, way back in the day, and today I’d like to share this ad from Keith Giffen’s Trencher comic book (issue 2, dated June, 1993).
Now I mentioned last year how much I enjoyed Giffen’s Trencher artwork, so you shouldn’t be surprised that I had one of his comics in my hands recently. I really do need to seek out the other instance of this art style that Giffen employed for a very short time. Which instance is that? Infanticide; see the DC Wikia. I think I’m gonna go find those comics right now.
