There is some sort of special charm around the Star Wars world as it existed in the mid-nineties. The prequel movies hadn’t happened, the Special Edition films weren’t out in the world, and the “Expanded Universe” was small enough that we could keep details straight in our heads.

And, maybe best of all, Kenner was making Star Wars action figures again. And they were even taking advantage of modern toy ideas (Hello, Batman marketing 101!) to produce pieces like this 1996 Deluxe Boba Fett Action Figure*. The formula is simple: Take an established and existing action figure parts and add something extra . . . in this case, a Mini-Rig like vehicle.
