How many of you remember the photos I shot at New York Toy Fair of the upcoming Kotobukiya Batman statue (post here). Well, Entertainment Earth has the statue up for pre-order and I have to admit that the $90 price tag for the Batman Black Costume ArtFX Statue* is actually a pretty good price for such a gorgeous piece of work. But no, I must continue to resist and instead focus on the Batman Black and White series statues.*

(But if I had the room and money I’d grab this one.)

The comic book Dark Knight returns! One of the original and most popular DC Comics ArtFX statues is back in a different version, to thrill fans all over again. Where once he was the blue-suited Jim Lee Hush Version, Bruce Wayne is now the Batman Black Costume Version. Inspired by the magnificent art of Lee in the seminal 2002 storyline pitting Batman against some of his most diabolical enemies, the original ArtFX statue captures the Caped Crusader as he appeared then. Sculpted by Kouei Matsumoto, the Batman Black Costume Version stands 11-inches tall (1:6 scale) on a special display base. Batman is forever, and he’s ready to fight crime on your shelves!
