Subtitled “The Best (and Worst) of the ’90s – Toys, Games, Shows, and Other Stuff,” the instant I noticed Did I Do That?* it was ordered and racing its way to me. After all, did anyone seriously expect me to resist a book with a description this good?

Celebrating the most sought-after, wacky, ubiquitous, and downright bizarre bits of ’90s pop culture, this chock-full-of-fun, tongue-in-cheek survey looks back at everything kids begged their parents for and comments on what made all that stuff so irresistible. Each of the top 40 pop-culture phenomena of the era—from toys and games to television and film to books and music—gets its own short chapter discussing its rise and fall, spinoffs, favorite moments, and more, along with running commentary on what was hot at the moment and what was suddenly “so five minutes ago.”

      1. I actually did an email interview with Jensen Karp about it in about 2011-2012 for a (now-defunct) site I wrote for…I need to see if I still have the files around, I should put it up on the Lupine Book Club. I remember the U.S.S Flagg story being particularly depressing!

  1. Looking forward to your review of the book! It’s been on my wishlist for some time but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet..
