Affiliate Link – Robotech Art 1

Published in 1986, Robotech Art I* is a 264-page artbook/guide to the Robotech series of the time. Looks like a fun book, and this overview at Colony Drop is well worth a read if you’re interested in this book (or the other two titles in the series).

“Here’s an odd one: a 254 page full color artbook published in 1986, in English, covering all 85 episode of Carl Macek’s masterpiece Robotech. Bearing the title Robotech Art 1 and billing itself as “The Official Guide to the Robotech Universe,” it contains lots of screen captures and line art accompanying episode summaries, character descriptions, mechanical information and a detailed essay about Robotech‘s Japanese origins.”

Looking at the pages in the book reminds me of the Bubblegum Crisis roleplaying game (Amazon.com search*) that was published by R. Talsorian back in the nineties. There really are no similarities between the two, but for reasons I cannot explain the Robotech Art I* sample pages shown on the web really make me think of the Bubblegum Crisis RPG.
