  1. I just bought the 12 pack yesterday. I’ll be doing a kind of preview/first look tomorrow but here’s the basics:

On the plus-side, the figures are all great. I love the sense of humour in the naming (e.g. Neil Armsgone, Grave Lincoln, etc). The detailing is pretty neat for what they are and the overall impression of the figures is very positive if you like this sort of thing.

On the down-side, the 12-pack packaging looks good but is flimsy, there are only 16 figures currently available, all are in the same colourway (green) but worst of all the 12-pack features 4 ”exclusive” figures not found in the 3-packs and the 3-packs feature 4 ”exclusives” not fount in the 12-pack. As a result, if you want to get all 16 figures you’ll wind up with 8 figures with duplicates. And as of yet, I’ve not seen anything of the single-figure packs they promised, so it’s not like you could roll the dice that way.

My advice – unless you want dupes, look at the 3-pack line-up and the 12-pack line-up and decide which 12 figures you want and which 4 figures you can live without.

  2. I picked up the 12 pack on Saturday. All in all a good start, and when I happened to be back in the same part of town this morning I stopped in to see if I could grad the ones I missed…They were all sold out. I guess that is a good sign.

I like the size and detail of the figures. They are very nostalgic and look good on a shelf full of similar figures. I have a feeling that chasing them all down will be a pain, but at the same time isn’t that part of the fun of a line like this? Right now my favorites are King Guts and Neil Armgone…
