Affiliate Link – Sideshow’s Boba Fett Life-Size Bust

It’s $800. There, I said it. I got the scary price out of the way and now we can all switch from reaching for the buy button to merely dreaming about owning this amazing Boba Fett Life-Size bust*. If you need a Boba Fett bust that won’t kill your savings account there’s always the Boba Fett Bust Bank* that’s under $20 (mentioned here) but there’s no way it’s as cool as this life-size bust. At a price that’s basically a house payment there’s no way I’ll be buying this bust — I suspect the bank would rather I make a house payment than add this awesome collectible to the house — but I can certainly soak my computer in drool as I stare at this. And I can be jealous of everyone out there who buys one of these.

Limited to 1,000 pieces, we could have some real fun by doing extremely simple math: $800 x 1,000 pieces = $800,000. (Reverting to teenage txting speak I now type OMG!) Of course that $800,000 isn’t all profit since Sideshow has to pay to make the damned thing and for licensing, but I can’t believe that they aren’t earning a decent return on this bust. Impressive, most impressive. And it just again leads me to thinking that there has to be some money to be earned in the statues market . . . if you’re insane enough to take the plunge.

My favorite part has to me the “Limited to 2 per customer” bit. Seriously? They have to put a limit on an $800 bust? Damn.
