Playmates is making a big push with their new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line and that includes this upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Raiser Deluxe Vehicle* that looks neat enough to base a collection around. I know the toys are starting to appear in stores, but so far I’ve seen nothing on shelves. Maybe in the next week or so Austin will start to get these.
When the Turtles need to hit the road and take command and control with them, they all pile into the Shellraiser! Built to run either on the subway rails or on the busy streets of New York City, the Shellraiser delivers all the fire power needed for the Turtles to travel together to take down Shredder and the Foot Clan! With entrances on the top, in the front and on the side of the car, up to eight Basic Action Figures can fit inside (sold separately, figures not included). The Shellraiser really packs a punch with Ninja Battle Boost technology, including a spring loaded cannon on the top of the car and a side door that automatically opens with the touch of a button, sending kids’ favorite hero in a half shell flying out the side with 360 degree Ninja flip-kicking action, to wage battle on anything standing in its way!

Having all four of the new Turtles, I can safely say they’re tons of fun. Decent, but not crazy articulation, nice and chunky in hand, and they feel very sturdy. The Shellraiser almost seems like a must when you’ve got all the Turtles. Perhaps I’ll have to look into getting one. The local TRU has been brimming with them lately.
I picked up the Shellraiser and all four turtles at Toys R Us. The vehicle is a lot of fun and has a nice look to it. My favorite feature has to be the grafitti stickers that come with it. You can’t see it in the picture but both sides of the vehicle comes with colorful decals.
