Now You Know: The Unauthorized Guide to G.I. Joe TV and Comics* is a fairly fun read and a useful reference if you’re ever looking for information on the eighties G.I. Joe comics and cartoon. The book is over 300-pages long, and the author covers things in enough detail that just about every question you may have about those old cartoons and comics will be answered.
I personally find the author’s Transformers book — Prime Targets: The Unauthorized Guide to Transformers, Beast Wars and Beast Machines* — to be more fun, but I think that’s because I’m more a fan of Transformers than I am G.I. Joe.
The largest book on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero ever written, this comprehensive and witty book is the ultimate guide to the G.I. Joe TV and comic book series. Written by Lars Pearson (Wizard, ToyFare magazines), Now You Know features story summaries, reviews, top ten lists and a heap of humorous categories on more than 100 G.I. Joe TV episodes. Also included: full coverage of all G.I. Joe comic series, a complete toy price guide and fact-filled appendices.
