Amazon.com is listing the Transformers: Combiner Wars Cyclonus* as a June 15 release, meaning that anyone pre-ordering the toy from Amazon.com should see it in the mail next week.

I’ve not been following along with any of the Combiner Wars comics — I usually just wait for the IDW trades — so all I know about the idea if what I’ve picked up from the various character descriptions and some online chatter. The whole mind control angle for Cyclonus sounds fun, but now I’m wishing Hasbro had also made an Insecticon combiner and let Bombshell do his thing to command the merged robot.

Cyclonus uses mind control to combine with any bot, siphoning the powers of whichever Autobots or Decepticons will serve his purpose of unleashing chaos across the universe. The Combiner Wars are heating up and your 2-in-1 Cyclonus figure is ready to take on either side. This hardcore mind-controller is a terrible powerhouse in robot mode, wielding his nightstick against any kind of enemy. But when the time comes for an airborne attack, he can convert to jet mode. He’s also got the power to combine with other bots (sold separately) to form a massive Galvatronus figure. Convert, combine and attack with your awesome Cyclonus figure.
