Affiliate Link – Transforming Battleoid Valkyrie Action Figures
I’ve got a few different Robotech Revoltech toys that I grabbed while I was in Hong Kong last year, but they are clearly not as awesome as these Battleoid Valkyrie* action figures. Why? Because these toys can transform between the three different modes. At least that’s the initial thinking, but it’s possible that it isn’t good; well, that’s what a review at Amazon.com* tells us:
Transforming is a mess. The canopy doesn’t lock in fighter or GERWALK mode, so it flops around and collapses. The arms and legs don’t lock upright, so unless the fighter is on the ground with landing gear deployed, the legs and arms fall down.
I am not 100% certain this review is talking about the same toys, but regardless of that I do know both toys are from the same manufacturer. It’s kinda sad, because four transforming Robotech fighters would actually be a pretty good deal; just think of them as four Jetfire figures waiting to be customized. But maybe these are best skipped.
Does anyone have these toys and have any opinions about the quality of the figures?
Each fully transformable action figure stands approximately 6-inches tall and is fully articulated, and can be converted into Fighter mode, Battleoid mode or Gerwalk mode. Also included is a gunpod weapon accessory and an adjustable display stand, for maximum versatility and poseability.
There’s also a problem with the product description that leads to some confusion. It’s called a four-pack but only lists (and only shows) three action figures. Quite frustrating for anyone seriously looking at grabbing these toys.
