Alnavco Fantasy Figures
This one’s an oddity. Advertised in Boys’ Life magazine in 1982, this small block offers up metal miniatures for use with fantasy roleplaying games. The ad is clearly for a retailer of some sort, but the name “Alnavco” doesn’t ring any bells at all.
Very cool. I got into miniature-based games around 1998, but there were still quite a few late 80s-early 90s moulds kicking around at the time. Sculpting and production techniques have evolved in leaps and bounds since then, but there’s undeniably a crude charm to a lot of the older stuff.
