Art Asylum’s Silent Screamers Action Figures
The July, 2000 issue of Lee’s Action Figure News & Toy Review (Amazon.com search*) has this McFarlane-inspired ad for the Silent Screamers action figure series by Art Asylum. It’s easy to forget just how much McFarlane Toys influenced the action figure industry, taking the static status quo and shaking things up with their dynamic, semi-articulated figures that made awesome shelf toys.

This is still one of my favorite action figure lines ever. It’s amazing how much unique sculpting and how many accessories and diorama pieces were crammed into these figures!
I bought the Silent Screamers Golem just for the large castle gate which is awesome to display MOTU (or any fantasy) figures with.
