Autobot Jetfire, Deluxe Insecticons, Autobot Cars, and Autobot Jumpstarters on Sale in 1985
December 22, 1985. I wish the archived scan was in a little better condition, but we can make out enough of the details from this Toys Plus advertisement from the Des Moines Register newspaper to see where the toys were priced for Christmas in 1985. As a bit of a bonus, the ad also lists prices for toys not illustrated, such as the basic Insecticons and the Decepticon Cassettes. Tracking prices is always entertaining since it gives us a very clear impression of how well the toys sold when they were new.
