AutoVentures Ad from July, 1984
This full-page ad comes from the July, 1984 issue of Dragon magazine and touches on one of the game lines that I really should finish collecting. The AutoVentures series (Amazon.com search*) was a set of adventures/sourcebooks for use with car combat games of the eighties.
With rules for Car Wars, BattleCars, and Highway 2000, the idea behind this line was that you could grab one of the books and use it with any of those games. We always used these with Car Wars; I’d never even held a copy of Highway 2000 until very recently, and back in the eighties I would look for the game and not find it. Did anyone ever even play that game?
