Batman Arkham Asylum Action Figure Set at Entertainment Earth

I’ve grabbed a few different Bat villains from the DC Universe Classics line, but my biggest complaint has to be how tough it has been to get a couple of the figures (the Joker and Riddler action figures were a major pain). And even today I still don’t have a Batman from the series. Well, I guess I could always go a different route and dive into this Arkham Asylum Box Set*. Batman, Joker, Penguin, and even Killer Croc in one set for $55. With a trade paperback!

“Beware the denizens of Arkham Asylum! This terrific box set spotlights the deadliest (and craziest) enemies of the caped crusader. The four action figures range from 4 1/4 to 6 3/4-inches tall and include Penguin, Batman, the Joker, and Killer Croc. They’re all packaged together with a 64-page book featuring stories that offer rare glimpses into the lives of some of the most notorious residents of Gotham City’s home for the criminally insane. Read the book but don’t let the figures out of the box!”

“Stories included are “Escape” from Showcase ’95 #11, “Workin’ My Way Back To You” from The Batman Chronicles #3, “Penguin Dreams” from Batman #585, and “Fool’s Errand” from Robin #85.”

My only real concern is that DC Direct action figures don’t have much in the way of articulation. And this review at Superhero Times doesn’t make me feel all that confident in this set. I’m sure it would look good on a shelf, but I suspect all it would ever do is collect dust since most of the figures don’t have much in the way of articulation and wouldn’t be much fun to pull off of the shelf.
