Batman Day!
See the ICV2 article and then prepare for September 26 and Batman Day! After last year’s 75th anniversary Batman Day event I’m not surprised to see DC trying to extend the idea and form a “geek holiday” of their own along the same lines as “May the Fourth.” Will this work? I’ve no idea, but I believe Batman has a large enough following that DC should be able to cement this idea and succeed in comic stores.
Events will be held at comic book shops, bookstores, schools, libraries and other retail partners. DC is offering an official “Batman Day†event kit for digital download which includes activity sheets, trivia, and games. Interested retailers can sign up on DC’s website.
