Battle Beasts Return!
This news is actually quite old, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting for fans of the old Battle Beasts toy line. This post at Minimate Headquarters has some info but since I’ve never bought a Minimates figure I don’t see myself starting now.
Except that’s not entirely new, since the post says:
“Expect to see your first Battle Beast in the previously announced Minimate Laboratory play set, due out later this year.”
Oh yeah, the Minimates Laboratory. I guess I should explain what that is for those of you who haven’t already seen it. Again, Minimate Headquarters has details, but the short form is that this new cardboard playset designed for Minimates that — according to some sources — can be slightly tweaked to work with 3.75-inch action figures. Sounds like my Marvel Universe toys may be getting a playset before the end of the year.
