Battlestar Galactica-Related Suicide in 1979
After yesterday’s Battlestar Galactica post I went searching the newspaper archives trying to find news or ads about the show . . . and instantly encountered an A.P. article in the August 26, 1979 Prescott Courier. I hesitated sharing this, but after thinking it over a little while I decided this is something many others may not be aware of.

In 1979, a 15-year old boy in St. Paul, Minnesota jumped to his death after the Battlestar Galactica television series was cancelled. I don’t even know where to start to understand this unnecessary death and am surprised that I’d never heard this tale before.
