BattleTech “Weapon and ‘Mech Recognition Guide” from The Crescent Hawk’s Inception Video Game

Based on Fasa’s BattleTech game series (find at Amazon.com*), BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk’s Inception was a computer game from 1988 that got quite a few of my hours back in the summer of 1989. We would play this for days at a time that summer, taking turns at the controls and working out way through what was more of a computer roleplaying game than it was a combat simulator. The game was awesome fun, and I wish there were an updated version of this title that I could play today.

Out of my boxed copy of the game comes this 12-page Weapon and ‘Mech Recognition Guide that was printed in dark green ink on green paper. Staples along the top edge of the booklet has this opening vertically; I am usually not into top edge bindings, but it works well for this short work. Enjoy the booklet, gang!

  1. I love stuff like this! A buddy of mine and I were just talking about how old games came with the best accessories–maps, booklets, and cardstock decoders. I wish that trend had continued. Digital downloads just aren’t as cool!
