“Beware the Batman” Video Clip Looks . . . Okay
Story, dialogue, music, sound . . . all seem to be just fine. But that computer animation is not working well for me. I’ve got no complaints with the character designs, but the CG animation is really nagging at me. I’ll watch a few episodes before I make any decisions, but I really do wish we could get more traditional animation these days. Hell, even cell shaded CG would have looked better than what I see in this video clip.

The first few episodes have aired now; there’s probably enough out there to make a judgement on the series at this point.
Katana’s proving interesting at this point, given so far she seems to be set up as an equal more than a ward/sidekick. I don’t know if a Batman series has done this sort of thing before and it intrigues me because it’s a new story avenue.
I have to agree with you on the CG. I’ve watched the first few episodes and while I’m enjoying the stories and the introduction of lesser-known villains, the animation is still distracting most of the time.
What is it with these CG cartoons and the “empty” backgrounds? It’s difficult to believe there’s enough of anything happening in the Gotham of “Beware” to warrant the existence of Batman.
