Board Games That Tell Stories
On the way to the airport on Tuesday I stopped at the post office and picked up my copy of Board Games That Tell Stories. This is one hell of an impressive collection of essaywork by Ignacy Trzewiczek, game designer and pure lover of games, and after backing the Kickstarter project last year I had kinda set the book out of my mind and moved on with life.
Well, I’m over half of the way through the book and can report that if you have any interest at all in the boardgame industry then you need this book. I see that it’s available now at the Portal Games store. I’ve no idea how/when/if this will be released in the US, so be warned that Portal Games is in Europe so shipping the book could cost you. BUT the book is so entertaining and well-written that I believe it is a must own for everyone who wants to know more about the creation of games and the game industry.
If you want some idea of what the book looks like check this imgur pic. It truly is an attractive book and I’m quite happy that I joined the Kickstarter project while it was going on. I just wish I had ordered three or four copies to hand to some of the staff at the office because I suspect several of them would love this.
