Buddy L Bug Bots on Sale in 1985

I’ve reviewed one of the Bug Bots cheap transforming robot toys (review posted here) and shared the Bug Bots page from the 1985-1986 Buddy L catalog, so is anyone really surprised that as soon as I found this 1985 newspaper ad for the toys I immediately captured the ad to share? The newspaper ad includes other toys, yes, but those Bug Bots are the real find here. How often do we see ads for those cheap transforming robot toys of the eighties?
