Bwana Spoons’ Star Wars Toy Art at Lulubell
Remember when I mentioned the Toy(RE) Collection show a few weeks ago? Well, today I got a chance to see the show for myself when Gina and I visited Lulubell Toys in Tucson, AZ. I took pics of the store, but at the moment I’m sharing the Bwana Spoons (website) Star Wars action figure artwork that’s gorgeous. I’ve got a set posted at Flickr and I recommend you check it out.
There were several paintings hanging on the wall and a binder of smaller images (the Snowtrooper, Cloud Car Pilot, and Greedo paintings were just some of the works in the binder). Fantastic and inspirational work; seeing these in person makes me want to take a shot at creating my own collection of artwork of vintage Star Wars action figures and toys.
I’m glad we stopped at the store. I bought a few books and toys, but getting the chance to visit a great toy/art store was better than any shopping I could have done. It almost felt a bit like Domy Books in Austin, but with more of everything that makes Domy a good store.
For more on this show don’t miss this post at toybot studios. Toy and art fans who get the chance to visit Tucson have got to hit Lulubell Toys. And if you can’t make it there in person then visit the Lulubell Toys website. Designer toy and Japanese vinyl fans already know that they can find cool toys for sale on the site.
I’m a little jealous you got to go out there. I love buying my RxH from them. They are such great people there. Cant wait to see the other photos and reviews of what you purchased
@smack6102 – It’s a very neat store. If you ever get to Tucson you should check it out. I’ll get the other photos up soon, but now I’m dead tired from much driving and changing two time zones in one day.
