Captain America vs. Hydra Troops Statue
We all know how much fun Captain America is, and how much I’m starting to love statues, so it should be no surprise that this Marvel Collection Captain America Fine Art Statue* has captured my eye. At $160 this 13-inch tall statue actually isn’t too expensive, but unless it drops significantly in price I’m sure I won’t be buying it. It would look great in the living room, though.
“Steve Rogers served his country for decades as Captain America, one of the true legends in Marvel Comics lore. When Cap was tragically killed in the aftermath of the Civil War, one man had the courage to stand up and take on the mantle of his mentor: none other than James Buchanan Barnes – once Rogers’ sidekick Bucky and, more recently, the operative known as The Winter Soldier. With Iron Man’s help he has become the new Captain America, a hero for a new generation! The new Captain America is dynamically posed flying through the air, crashing into three Hydra troopers. Also sculpted by Junnosuke Abe, the modern American hero is outfitted in his current costume, blending the traditional with the new. The classic red, white, and blue are offset by the new black bodysuit, complete with utility belt, combat knife, and pistol! Of course, he is clutching Rogers’ original iconic shield. The hero’s face is a grimace of anger and determination as he dispenses his own brand of justice.”
