Carmine Infantino: Penciler Publisher Provocateur in PDF
“Star Wars was my best stuff. George Lucas loved my Star Wars work. I was told he requested me. It was a good series to be associated with.”
–Carmine Infantino speaking about his work on Star Wars in Carmine Infantino: Penciler, Publisher, Provocateur*
I’ve mentioned the Carmine Infantino: Penciler, Publisher, Provocateur* book before. A fabulous collection Infantino’s artwork combined with an exploration of his life in comics, the book is an enjoyable read and was a resource when I was working on a few different posts about his Star Wars work.
- 9 Great Stormtrooper Illustrations by Carmine Infantino
- 8 Spectacular Starships by Carmine Infantino Found in Marvel’s Star Wars Comics
- 9 Incredible Star Destroyers by Carmine Infantino Found in Marvel’s Star Wars Comics
Well, it turns out that the book is available in PDF from the publisher and for only $11! You can find the PDF for sale at their site, and you better believe I bought a copy for myself as soon as I realized the PDF was for sale. Infantino’s art is fantastic, and with this I can now carry the book everywhere that I take my iPad. The future is far cooler than I expected. If you had told me in 1980 that one day I could carry all of the Marvel Star Wars comics and a book about Carmine Infantino in one small package I would have never believed you.
