Chainsaw Warrior Cards On the Way!
Published in 1987 by Games Worshop, Chainsaw Warrior (BoardGameGeek entry) is a solitaire boardgame in which you have 60 minutes to race through the game and destroy monsters. As a solitaire game it has quite limited sales potential, even back then, but at 25 years old it’s now a classic and loved by a small number of game geeks. Game geeks like me.
The game also had a published expansion back in 1987, with Life & Death & An American Chainsaw appearing in White Dwarf issue 88 (BoardGameGeek entry). After several years of watching for a decent deal on the magazine, and the necessary sheet of game cards in the issue, I’ve finally snagged the expansion/magazine and am now waiting for it to arrive.
Don’t be too surprised if I end up reviewing Chainsaw Warrior in the future.
On the topic of defunct Games Workshop games, I wouldn’t mind a Necromunda revival.
@Z Foundation – That’s one I never played. But I wouldn’t mind seeing a new Dark Future game.
