I shared the X-Men/Chef Boyardee cans advertisement last week, and now I want to take you all of the way back to the summer of 1994 for this Chef Boyardee promotion where you could send in five Chef Boyardee UPCs and $3.99 to receive a free glow-in-the-dark X-Men posted by Jim Steranko. When was the last time we saw a promotion like this one appear in a comic book? For that matter, when was the last time that X-Men comics were written for kids and not for long-time comic collectors?
