Clutter Magazine and Free Distribution
Earlier this year I outlined an idea for magazine distribution (see “Why don’t we buy magazines?”) that involved online sites and retailers, with the magazine mostly given away with orders. Well, that’s already happening: A recent order included a free copy of Clutter Magazine #24, meaning I got my order and an unexpected surprise.
Okay, this makes me very happy. The magazine’s small — digest-sized and around 50-pages — packed with ads, and all glossy and shiny and a true magazine. I have no idea how long Clutter has been trying this free distribution model, but I sure as hell hope this succeeds because we need physical magazines in the world. Hurray for a physical toy magazine in my hands!
