Cobra Night-Viper: Red and Black, or Black and Red?

G.I. Joe fans, which do you prefer:

  • Cobra Night-Viper black with red details (shown during NYTF)
  • Cobra Night-Viper red with black details (shown at BBTS pre-order page)

Which is best?

hisstank.com users CityStrike and CrackerJacks have pointed out that the version of the Cobra Night-Viper that’s now up for pre-order at BBTS doesn’t match the version of the toy shown back at NYTF.

Personally, I feel both designs look pretty neat and I would actually not object to Hasbro releasing the toy in both versions. It could even make for a fun chase if it turns out that the versions are both produced and randomly distributed in the packs, but that seems really unlikely to me.

Do you have a preference?

  1. Cobra Night-Viper black with red details (shown during NYTF) by far. Why did they have to change it?!

    1. @Kevin – Change could have been related to retailer request, focus group response, or anything. Why? No clue, but maybe Hasbro will say something about it at one point.

  2. Personally I’m sick of red on Cobra. I don’t have a preference either way then.

  3. I definitely prefer the black with red details (NYTF).
I was going to pre-order this set, because I really want a night viper. However, after looking at the pics again and noticed that they reversed the red/black, it just caused me to go ahead and order a regular green night viper for about $10 more than he should have cost.
