“Comin’ On Big!” Monogram Models Ad from 1981

Comic books were, decades ago, one of the best ways to advertise to kids. Back in the dark ages, before the internet, toymakers, candy companies, and even model kit companies used comics to show off new products to their target audience: kids with the time to assemble kits. This 1981 ad from an issue of Rom is just fun enough to make me again think about how fun it would be to put models together. I won’t, but the idea is nice.
