Congratulations to Justin Bell on his new G.I. Joe Story!
Justin Bell of generalsjoes.com has taken advantage of the Kindle Worlds G.I. Joe program (mentioned here) and released the first in a series of G.I. Joe adventures at Amazon.com. Titled G.I. Joe: The Price of Peace: Snake Bite*, the 150+ page story is only $4 and I bought my copy to read on the flight this coming week.
It’s awesome to see what is effectively licensed fan fiction appearing online and I hope the entire Kindle Worlds* project performs so well that more properties are added to the options.
What would I like to see on Kindle Worlds? Well, my “Five ’80s Toy Properties I Want to See on Kindle Worlds” post from last year is a start, but I also wouldn’t object at all if Amazon partners with Hasbro or Mattel and brings us as unexpected an addition as they did when they announced G.I. Joe as part of the program.

Thanks for the link, Philip, I just bought this and will start reading later this week. Justin knows more about GI Joe than I probably ever will, so I can’t wait to find what parts of the joe mythology he hits on.
