“Curate the Web”
The entire idea of “Spotted Online” posts here at battlegrip.com (tagged “other sites”) was inspired by a section in Margaret Mason’s No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog*. I read this book way back in 2008, before launching this site, and ever since then I’ve tried to share links to cool stuff whenever possible.
Why? Because it’s fun both to show you guys stuff that you may have missed and it’s my way of thanking the creators of the posts I enjoy. Now I thought I had mentioned this before — and I did kinda touch on the idea in my Six Mistakes I Have Made as a Blogger post — but it seems that I cannot find any individual post where I mention the book. So now I have. Consider this my very public thank you to Margaret Mason for her book and for how her book inspired me.
I recommend checking it out if you write for a blog.
