Dark Age: The Brood Collectible Card Game Advertisement

Back in 1996, the Dark Age: Feudal Lords* collectible card game was published by the Friedlander Publishing Group. Featuring art and world design by Brom, the game was a post-apocalyptic battle between warlords, with each player constructing a deck of weapons, characters, and fighting to overthrow the competitors. The game never had a chance, though, coming out as the CCG bubble was exploding.

Unfortunately, this meant that the planned expansion, The Brood, never saw release. The below advertisement from the September 1996 issue of InQuest magazine is one of the only bits of info I’ve managed to find for the expansion, so there’s still a lot of questions when it comes to the card mix and design of The Brood expansion set.
